Blogger will no longer allow adult content

Postby saraali786 » 03 Mar 2015, 10:24

All the graphical nudity and the sexually explicit content will no longer be allowed to share publicly. So anyone using blogger for that matter start looking for a new host.

*cough* Its quite funny but I think Blogger is kind of good already because they make enough limits to protect childrens and teenager's while still giving access to teaches who need to spread knowledge's, artist who have an audience etc. :)

I'm good with that change, I'm not a fan of nudity either way. Even for artistic reasons, I just think it's gross.

Thats a good thing...blogger is moving more towards being a family oriented blog site. So not having adult content posted there would drive in a lot of family folks. But for those that already have a blog there it might be bad if they have adult content.

They have since reversed the ban - http://www.theverge.com/2015/2/27/81195 ... n-reversed

To be honest I think the best way to run a site like this is to host it yourself and use something like Wordpress. It allows you to move your site easier if your host changes their TOS and gives you more ways to customise your site and make it different and unique. Wordpress is pretty simple to use and install aswell and updates itself.

That's interesting, I would imagine that it is rare for Google to make a U-turn like that.

That is probably a really good decision from Blogger. Adult content can be found on adult website. Blogger is more people passionated of blogging, not for that kind of images and videos

Meh this doesn't affect me really as I don't blog about porn or anything lol. I am sure it may be bad for other people though. I blog on my interest, gaming and work at home. It does seem like a weird turn but maybe not.

Does anybody read beyond the original post before responding? lol. There was a post that included a link that said this ban has now been reversed. I find it odd that it was reversed.

I imagine it's because they would also have to limit some of the more questionable ads, and they don't want to lose money. Just a guess.
