Do you use free domains?

Postby Coinlv » 14 Jul 2015, 16:44

When it comes to buying anything on the internet, I'm always a bit reluctant and want to try it out before buying it. One of them includes domains. I am only using free domains at the moment because I am considering another website. At the moment, I have no traffic because I haven't released it to the public yet, but I plan on seeing how it does compared to paid domains such as .com, .org, or .net. I am using a .tk domain because it is short and easy to type.

Its not easy to find 1 year .com domain for 2 $ .
BTW:In case anyone wondered where he bought the domain from... he bought it from Godaddy + he used a coupon for additional discount.

I heard .tk domains has a bad reputation. They're going to get your domain or cancel your domain subscription if your domain is getting a lot of traffic. And they're going to use that for their own ads.

I can't afford to buy domains for my site. I am wondering where can we get it for free? It's been 3 months that I launched my blog, but still I don't have a domain name extension the fact that they are really expensive. I need to earn more before purchasing it online.

I dont use free domains, especially .tk, .ga etc. domains. They are nothing worth.

I prefer to use a subdomain from a domain that I bought. Actually, I prefer to use a free subdomain service than the only free domain service which is freenom. If there would be a better free domain service that is not from freenom, maybe I would use it.

Free domains are generally unsafe. Be careful!
