What mobile platform social media should we use for marketing purposes? There is whatsapp but does it have the same effect as facebook and twitter? Those ones can help to boost google rankings, but what about the various social media apps for mobile phones?

Facebook and Twitter work best but you can use other social media websites aswell.Whatsapp is not a bad choice but you may get bad reputation if you spam there.

I don't think it's going to be as productive if you use apps like WhatsApp to promote your site/blog because you will just spam on peoples inboxes. Social medias like Facebook are still much effective because you can post images and even video promotions unlike WhatsApp that only accepts texts and few images. the restrictions are there.

For now, the only social media that I use on mobile is Facebook. I don't Tweet much so I cannot say the same. I find Facebook app very good except that it they are forcing us to install the messenger.

For mobiles whatsapp is doing good, you can share instantly and get more traffic of course, Facebook and Twitter but I din't find much in the mobiles.

I am not that smarty pants when it comes to technology. I only know Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest. On my mobile phone, I download the apps and I am using it basically to share something about my business and information.

Hashtags do help definitely.I haven't been using them,but now I decided to use them because many people use hashtags and might find my facebook page.
