If you are profiling an actor or a director, you cannot write about their filmography in 200-300 words, right? You need to write a long article.

Most of the time I am doing a quick blurb about a movie or a TV series. If i talk about an actor who I really like, my post is not short. I did one on Cary Grant. I love him!!

I believe the topic actually determines the length of the content. some topics demand long content, whereas some topics can be covered in a short post.

I just wrote the hardest article in my life because of the pronouns I have to use. I was tasked to write an article about Demi Lovato's documentary about aliens. Ever Since Demi Lovato came out as Non-Binary, Demi uses the pronouns they/them. The client told me non binaries will be offended if I use She/her pronouns to Demi because they are now identifying as non binary. Using They and them to pronouns to a single person is a hard adjustment but you got to give people the pronouns they prefer.

A non Binary is a gender that doesn't identity as man nor woman, so they use they/them pronouns. Using gendered pronouns on them will be offensive for them. Non Binaries are the reason why most writers are calling Latinos, Latinx now because non Binaries are offended by the masculine term Latino. 90 percent of hispanic people hates the word Latinx but most professional writers uses it now so they won't offend the Non binaries. Its easier for me to deal with trans people since their prefered gender is their pronouns.

@Netherrealmer - I hope you are paid well for your efforts. Where do you advertise that you will write articles for people?

I use to do the subreddit slave labour and one client became loyal to me that we contact through emails and she stopped using the subreddit because the only writer she needed is me.

It is very difficult to remain gender-neutral while writing. I am always confused about whether to use he or she while referring to an unknown person. Sometimes I use he and she both and sometimes, I use only one pronoun. I have never written anything about non-binaries. How can you refer to a single individual with plural pronouns?

Non-Binaries prefers plural pronouns. When Paris Hilton had Demi Lovato guested on her cooking show, This is how she describe her relationship with Demi.

"I had been close friend with them since they are a teenager."

That gave me an idea on how to write about non-binaries without offending them. Treat them as a group of people because they prefer plural pronouns. I don't remember non binaries existing 10 years ago but I will respect their preferred pronouns even if its challenging.

What you do is go ahead and write it with the gender pronouns. Then use the "Find and Replace" feature and replace the pronouns with the gender-neutral equivalent. ;) ;)

Non-Binaries are also offended by gendered ethnicities like Latino, Latina, Filipino, Filipina, Tejano etc. They replace they prefer terms like Latinx,Filipinx etc. That one I won't follow and I don't care if they got offended. I will not use X as a vowel. A lot of mainstream writers uses Latinx now even if 90 percent of Latinos hates it.

I will just use Hispanic to be safe.

Most who write articles do that to fulfil the rules specified by Sites where there is a number of words limit. The only place where one can write huge articles are blogs.

I agree that one has to stick to the sites and regulations of the site. I find that article should be of an adequate length so that it has enough information and does not get boring.

When you write for sites, you will have to follow their writing guidelines, including word count. But if you are writing for your own site, you have the leverage to write any length.

One thing i have come to observed about majority of persons on social media is that they don't like going through long content, except it is well captivating.

Not it won't but a very short article won't help too so we should provide complete details and at the same time the article shouldn't look boring too so the choice of words should be selective too

If you read on SEO strategies and how you can rank high on search engines, you will understand the importance of long articles. If you rank high, you will also get a lot of traffic.

There is now a feature in wordpress where your wordpress account is paired up with a Tumblr and Twitter account and your articles will be automatically linked and promoted on those platforms.

You article should be atleast of medium length, but if you want it to go viral, then you need to create engaging content day in and day out.
