I wouldn't say I am embarrassed to be an online worker. But I already know how people see me. If they see evidence of me working online, all they are going to do is roll their eyes, and their negative perceptions of my work ethic will be pronounced.

Meh, I don't even care about that part of it. Anybody that gives me the stinkeye for working online probably isn't anyone whose opinion I value much anyway. I do what I need to do. They don't have to like it.

I just don't want my friends and family to feel spammed by it all. I also like my privacy.. yeah, even on FB, which I know is rather laughable. I just don't post all my business for everyone to see. I guess I"m weird since most people seem quite comfortable to post their entire life story all over the Internet, some of them minute by minute.
