I guess it'd be difficult to use virtual friends to earn, so I've given Tumblr a wide berth.

walash wrote:Hey guys,
As my previous post about tumblr made some success, I decided to write a guide on how to drive real targeted traffic to your website. I've been busy with two new websites I'm working on this week but I want to release the guide by the end of the next week.
I am planning to help people who already have websites to reach at least 15k visits/month without investing a single penny. It doesn't matter if it's a wix or weebly website with no dedicated domain. I'm not sure how the article will be structured but it should include:
- Organic Traffic (On-Page SEO and keyword research);
- Social Traffic (Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram);
- Referral Traffic (Forums, Directories and others);
- What not to do and why you should avoid traffic exchange websites.
Cheers,
Wal

I don't just want to "spam" it though, and I don't really have time right now to actually interact much before trying to use it for promotion. I feel I'd need to spend some time there.

No, Tumblr don't have their own earning program, but you can add AdSense (and presumably other ads) to your blog. You have to access the html to do that though, but there are guides online that will help you with that if you don't know how.

I wish they'd had this before. I've had tumblr blogs that were extremely popular before. But now I don't. I would've earned a lot.
DreekLass wrote:@Gina145, I know they didn't have it at the time. When I had those popular blogs, there were not even regular adverts that they have on Tumblr these days.

I didn't know that. But maybe that's because I only found out that Tumblr existed in 2015. Then again I tend to be late finding out about most of the good sites.

Lol. Yes, I was on there back in 2011, and have had two very different very successful blogs on there in that time. It seems much harder to build a following now though.
IcyFirefly wrote:@walash That is a detail step by step on how to use Tumblr. Now I have a decent general idea of what to do should I decide to have an account there. It seems like lots of work, posting every week, every day?
In my understanding, you are not earning from Tumblr itself, right? You only make money from the traffic it sends to your blog or whatever? It is confusing when people are twisting their understanding to something totally different.

Wow, thanks for that, Wal....I'm looking forward to seeing your finished guide, although I notice the timeframe you set for it has long goneWill you definitely be sharing it here on ForumCoin? Thanks also for the step by step guide you posted on making the most of Tumblr. I think it'll come in handy for a lot of us novices who are trying to dip our toes in the world of blogging
