That's not true at all. Black Hat techniques were never approved by search engines. Perhaps, search engines are successfully attacking these techniques more frequently now.

Recently, there was the case of a Rap website? They spammed their way on to the first pages of Google searches. But Google pushed it down to the 5th page. The penalty for black hat techniques can be severe.

I want to use black hat technique because one of my client is asking for this as their original website ranking has decreased and he want me to rank his another new website using black hat for the time being till his original website ranks better.

It seems to me like some people spend more time trying to find a way around doing things right than they would spend to just do things right. The potential advantages are also only temporary. It's not worth it to me to do something dishonest, even to make a few extra bucks in the short term.

And, yes, if you use such SEO techniques you are hurting other sites in the process. If you push the number one site out of that slot to get another one in that slot by dubious means, you are hurting them. You're also pushing everyone else down, so it's not only one site that is affected.

Absolutely not. Unless you have a throw-away site that you simply don't care about, it is not only a waste of time with very temporary benefits, it can also harm your site in the long run. I've done some things from an SEO perspective that were mainstream at the time I did them but later became viewed as contrary to what the search engines expect. In fact, almost anything anyone was doing 8 years ago - general directories, article directories, footer links in free WordPress themes, forum signatures, etc are now considered, if not black hat, at least "unnatural" links by the search engines. In the end, content creation is the only tactic that will land you a lasting spot in the search engine results.

Yes, I do. Something like 20% of all my SEO is Blackhat. Blackhat SEO is not something reliable but if done correctly it will rank your websites 5x faster than White Hat. I use it for side projects, tests and a little bit to my Money sites.
