I heard that some companies pay money to adblocker's to allow their advertisements, its fairly effective as most consumer's are set-and-forget type, however those packed with malicious payload and annoying ones are exception to me xD

Adblock Plus is actually meant to make it differ from Adblock, the same with Adblock Edge. I think?
