I gave a try to Malwarebytes which successfully removed Breaking News Alert from my PC :)
But, it consumes much ram while running in background. That's why, I prefer to keep it off after scanning PC.

You should always run it so that it could block any malicious things that enters your PC

Well, that is if you have a Premium license, Free versions dont have this function sadly. Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit is a good one to use too as it stops virus filled payload from entering into your computer in the first place.

I have started downloading files from trusted source. :D I don't think keeping Malwarebytes off would cause me any problem. By the way, for caution, I scan my PC one day a week. :)

Indeed, I think one of the best security systems available is a user that behaves in a safe manner online. That said, it is possible that an established site can become infected and spread malware so it doesn't always work to be cautious about what you do online. Even the safest of users should have some sort of real time protection for their system.

Yeah, common sense usually helps a lot. I don't think real time protection is strictly necessary so long as you do scans on the regular.

I don't usually download things that I don't trust..so I never really had a problem with Malwares..but that software is actually good if it can protect my files and clean them without me having to re-format my computer and redo all the work. Thank you for sharing it mate.

I'm just using trial for now but I think it is effective. Blocked some websites before that is not safe.

I agree, it is a supplement to the main Anti Virus-- I have a legit copy of an antivirus at home.
