Recently, I read on another thread that you can use infolinks on blogspot. If you can use infolinks along with adsense and amazon, why should you migrate to free wordpress where you cannot use advertising

Can't remember if I asked for this before but can you use two different ad networks together like AdSense and InfoLinks?

I can't say about infolinks with Adsense, however, I am using Adhitz with Adsense, I am also using pop up ad networks like propeller ads and bitcoadz, however, I have not received any warnings frm adsense. I have been using these ad networks since 4 months.

AdSense does not give warnings, they just terminate you when you request payment and keep your money.

I have read horror stories from Adsense users. However, recently there was a news that said Asense will be paying all the users whose accounts were terminated when they had just reached payment threshold.

My guess is that is simply a rumor. I had my account terminated and they kept the $100 I earned and I never heard another word from them for several years. I am not going back now that I know there is better money to be made without them.

They say wordpress is more versatile than blogger. However, if you are thinking about making money you should stay with blogger instead of wordpress (if you are using the free version of wordpress). Blogger being Google product approved adsense on blogspot blogs.

I'm not bitter. I was a newbie blogger just learning and publishing a blog with Wordpress gave me really good blogging experience. I learned what I was NOT supposed to do.

Blogger is a platform that Google bought and they have put no effort into upgrading or improving it. It is what it is. It's a free platform. Use it or don't use it. There are lots of nice blogs which are on the Blospot platform. But there are much nicer blogs using the Wordpress platform. It's my opinionated observation.

Currently, I'm using blogger and it seems good. However, I have finding some difficulties in editing social links. The theme I'm using already have social icons on it but I have tried if I can change the links but it doesn't work.

I don't see much difference if you are migrating from blogger to free version of wordpress. In fact blogger is bettee than free wordpress because you can at least monetize blogger.

I think Blogger is much easier to operate and maneuver around. The services there are also quite simple. Both WordPress and Blogger are unique in their own ways.
With WordPress, you will need to decide on a hosting plan, and pick a domain name. Blogger is much easier cause all you need is to create a free account with your Google account and you are good to go. Blogger is so much to customize however it is less impressive but that's just my opinion.

Blogger is mostly used when you're starting a blog. It introduces you to the whole concept of blogging. However, you might feel that you're a bit limited for further growth with blogger. For more advancement of your website management, WordPress.org can be a powerful platform as it will give you an extended functionality, with amazing features, hence giving you the command over everything.

If you want to use wordpress.org, you need a domain and hosting, and you need money for that purpose. You can use blogger free, you can also map a custom domain to your blogger blog.

Although, the self-hosted WordPress.org will require money, using it will give you the freedom and flexibility to grow your website the way you want. Ultimately, it's about one's choice whether to use WordPress or Blogger.

You do not have your full control over blogger blog, it can be deleted any time, but you have full control over your self hosted website.

wordpress is better only when you are using it as a content management system. You cannot monetize free Wordpress, and the premium version os very expensive.

I was often confused as to which one is better - Blogger or Wordpress. And reading all the posts here has been really good to clarify it to a great extent. I have one blog with Blogger and it is more of a personal journal. I am not active there anymore but I am going to be more regular there soon. I am planning to monetize it and so I guess I will stick to Blogger for that. I do not want to spend money on my personal diary sort of blogs. But for another one that I am planning to start soon, I think paid WordPress would be better.
