Are you sure facebook is changing its name to verge ? Sounds allike a vulgar word. I would prefer facebook, it sounds awesome and had been in the market for decades. Why change? Not worried if users cannot accept it ?

Its not changing its name into verge, Verge is the news article site that made the report. The company name is going to be called Meta. While the facebook website will be called TheFacebook

I remember the verge is not the new name. It is metaverse but what is it ? I love facebook the old name, easy to remember and the shortcut FB is widely used. MV would be the new shortcut.

I thought they will change it very soon but till now there is no change and in news, I saw a company names Meta already planning to sue Facebook owner because he's stealing their name

Meta will be the main company and under the Meta umbrella is the Metaverse, The Metaverse is composed of TheFacebook,Instagram and Whatsapp.

It actually kind of makes sense to change the name of the company, so that the name Facebook only refers to the platform.
The metaverse is a much wider concept than the platforms under the company, though.

People didnt like "the" so they decided not to add it. Facebook also plans to make instagram like social network for 13 years old below.

Never heard of this news. I am not a fan of allowing kids below the age of 13 years to use social media sites. I think learning platform with socializing options can be a good idea.
