Well, once it is on the internet, nothing can be blocked. Porn sites are blocked in my country but people access these sites through VPN. However, when the site is publicly unaccessible it makes a lot of difference. I think that will be the case of Trump's social.

I have not heard much about this Trump social media project in the news. They are too busy reporting on the people they keep calling to testify about the January 6 riots who keep refusing to show up to testify!

When I think about it creating a social media channel isn't near as bad as creating his own news channel. Trump! The one who is always shouting FAKE NEWS could have bough a news channel to report all of his own FAKE NEWS.

Yes they are more powerful when spreading fake news. But having a news channel sort of gives the reports a "stamp of legitimacy".
