What if we compare to facebook reel?
Not every one can have TikTok, so if it is banned, why don't go for alternative?

Facebook and Instagram are supposed to be good alternatives.

So what, do you think Tiktok is trusted? Anyway when people show themselves on video, they don't care privacy.

Facebook's invasion is much more disturbing, It spied on American PCs thats what Trump use to run as a Republican candidate. He uses the population of Mexican hating whites as a platform. He discovered that via Cambridge Analytica. Tiktok's invasion is more on what ads you will get.

But what would be the reason to shut it down. TikTok is so harmless. Plus people are making money from it which is a good thing.

Facebook is threatened, FCC attacked Youtube and Tiktok but never facebook. Facebook has Snuff videos on it aka real murder footages and it never faced scrutiny. FCC protects Facebook.

Tiktok appeals to Gen Z because the Gen Z have short attention span. So it favors them more.,

There is good reason to investigate and potentially ban the tik toc site. If you really want to know the details of the WHY, look at this half hour documentary that fully explains the reasons this site is a danger to the entire globe. I hope they do ban the site from our country. If you really look at this documentary, so will you.

I didn't checked the documentary because I already researched many before it was banned in India. THere are always reason to ban anything, TikTok wasn't trusted by many experts.

I think these folks attempting to close down tik took have their genuine reasons. Mostly being the uncontrollable and harmful content being posted there by it's worldwide users.

if it is about harmful contents then the best bet will be to close down such accounts than wanting to stop the app from existing. For anything new there will always be abusers. So they need to be stopped

I remember many terrorist sympathizers were promoting Coronavirus via TIcTok and spreading hatred against protection, but that wasn't the only reason, Govt banned multiple Chinese app, including PUBG game.
