I don't use pininterest either. But as far as I know it is good platform to learn new information regarding different topic. I have seen many users sharing many unique things at there.

I have an account on Pinterest but have never used to promote any kind of stuff but I use it more to read articles on gardening, DIY and cooking topics. I like exploring the photos on a number of subjects, all of which are indeed very good.

My experience with Pinterest is that a lot of people use it to connect with creative ideas, recipes, etc. I may use it more often in the future; however, I need to read a book about it first to see if it might meet my needs. It is an "up and coming" site. One reason I say that is because I see the Pinterest button when I also see Facebook, Twitter and Google+ buttons. I think some people are addicted to the site, in much the same way that, some people are addicted to Facebook.

I found a book on Amazon called Pinterest for Dummies. I love the Dummies books and there are several other Pinterest books to choose from, as well.

There is also a readable wiki about Pinterest https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pinterest that suggests some novel uses for the site and also warns about scammers who lurk there phishing for your information via fake images and bogus surveys.

I agree. I consider it as a stress reliever, i log in at least once a day and pin at least one photo.

I used to enjoy pintrest, because it was a great internet marketing tool, and then they removed the ability to post links, and now they seem to have allowed it again.

Ahan, so you can use it as a marketing platform as well? I have no clue how it works though. Can someone summarize?

Yeah, you can. Basically, any form of social media can be used as a marketing tool. So if using Pinterest, make sure you "pin" your URL together with an appropriate photo and save it to your board. Make it a public board so your Pinterest friends can find it or any other people. I have seen some of my pins are saved by people I don't know.

I know about pinterest in fact I have an account there but don't quite know how you can link it to your blog. I am sure it's possible and easy to do. I hardly get the time to visit my account on pinterest.

From your posts, pinterest seems to be an attractive online earning option.

Nevertheless, in the past, I've only heard US-based users speak on pinterest.

Does this mean that pinterest is only available to US-based users?

I had no idea. I shouldn't be surprised. Thanks for the warnings.

I find Pinterest to be quite fun, and it could be useful for promotion too. I guess, like everything else, we just need to be more careful.

It can actually be a very helpful and or useful website. Cooking recipes and things like that are great and vast on there.

I personally LOVE Pinterest! I just try not to go on there too often unless I have a lot of time to spare. Otherwise I get stuck and can't log out. I've only ever used it to look for hair and beauty ideas, as well as to see what new books are out. I find it very, very addicting.

What do you mean? Pinterest actually gets quite a lot of traffic, If all the pinning that goes on over there is any indication, they are one of the more popular social media sites.

Why not?
Me thinks that, assuming pinterest is seamless to use, it'll not hurt to add it to your existing sites.

I agree with @germainebull. I don't see what's the loss really. May be it could depend on what you using it for though. We are mainly looking for ways to expand our wings in here, however, you might have a different reason :D

I've even heard some people saying you can find some online work on there. I've just never got round to that bit yet because the minute I log in, I see all these wonderful things, the last thing I'm thinking of doing is scouring the site for work LOL

I would say that it is a little bit more than an average social media website. There is droves of activity on that site, and possibly untapped if you are an internet marketer who is trying to make money online. Reddit often gets overlooked too.
