Well, as OP pointed out, Google+ has a huge SEO value, way more than Facebook (guess why, lol). Some posts I made on G+ for a friend's business are ranked on Google's first page less than a week later for some major keywords, that shows a huge potential for advertisers and marketers. Also, Google hangouts offers screen and docs real-time sharing, which is amazing if you have work meetings to attend. I use it all the time.
I do agree facebook is way more popular than G+ these days, but I think G+ has the potential to gain more market share. I think people will be using both soon enough.

If Google+ helps with SEO, then maybe I should look into it! Maybe it is better for businesses and marketing, but is it really better than Facebook when it comes to connecting with friends and family?
