Go for free Wordpress or Blogger by Google. They are very simple and within a few minutes, your free Blog will be up and running. If you want to use your own domain, still you can get it and use on blogger by mapping and owning a custom domain. You can create as many blogs as you want.

You can easily create a free blog on wordpress, blogger, etc. If you wnat a blog site on your own domain, you need to buy domain and hosting. I recommend namecheap. But you can try other options like ipage, bluehost, etc.

The best thing about blogger is you can use ad networks like adsense, infolinks and amazon. Most free blogs do not allow monetization.
