It's not the forum structure itself that is to blame... :P There just aren't many updated pieces of forum software that have large communities. Nevertheless, software is underpaid in general.

Many developers feel that they are underpaid. :) Piracy takes another toll on their work. That's what I was really referring too.

For example, I saw complaints on the MyBB Support forums that developers were no longer developing themes because rippers have become more efficient at copying them.

Thanks for the clarification Rick. It's a shame that developers can't earn the payment they deserve because people breach their copyright.

It is very tough to make a Forum worth a million. Not everybody but someone related to IT may also negotiate while buying it.

Currently looking at selling my assets online because I am moving forward with offline businesses. So I guess that is another reason.

sometimes money talks but also people have love for things they create that they would not sell unless the money was really out of this world. I think I would sell my forum if I had one for a lot of money then go elsewhere and try to duplicate the success and try again.
