For me, aside from google ads, facebook, twitter and other social media , the quality of the blog content is what matters the most. I find good traffic thru organic searches on topics that are relevant and current. I also religiously check google webmaster to see the type of keywords and searches that my site is getting. Linking your site to higher PR website also helps too.

Find out where your target audience prefers to hang out. If they are on the social network sites then I guess that will be the best way to go.

Yeah mate, totally agree. We first need to take care of the content and visual look of website, then visits.

I registered my website to the sites that provides traffic exchange like 10k hits and trafficape. They work. I also share my blogs to twitter, pinterest, instagram and facebook. Social media help a lot too.
