There are many free domains... One of the most popular free domains are: .tk ; cu.cc ;
As I said there are many free domains.If you want to check these domains then search for them on Google.

I'm not using free domain as of the moment. My blog runs on a wordpress and I'm certainly happy with it because it serves like what I wanted it to be. Maybe when I'm going to expand my business, I will consider using free domains and create new site.

Go with paid domain if your business is really serious.Free domains sometimes are buggy and you don't have any support.On the other side paid domains are really great and stable.

Yes I am using free domain, I know some websites that offers free domain hosting. For me I am registered in byethost.com they offer free domains easy and no more payments.

Yes, I have used free domain names and continue to use them whenever I get a chance. I used the dot tk domain for a long time and it made me some money because of the splash page I made selling a service. On the other hand, I also used Google's free blogspot mainly for starting and testing something before eventually buying a top level domain and either mapping it or going for WordPress self host.

Wow, this is interesting. Free domain names come with strings attached unlike the paid ones. I can see why you go the paid only.

I have used the host where the website the little globe links to on a free Sub-Domain since June of 2008 and it works perfect for splash pages @ $1 a month to host it, but the sub-Domain is free. I get 1 Gb of disk space and 10 Gb of bandwidth and notice it loads fast.
