Can you tell me more about where I can use illustrator more, like a situation where illustrator would be more appropriate to use?

I really have about 1 year of self taught knowledge and only understand very basic information. While most of what you said is over my head a bit. I think I understand what you mean by its not just the difference between vector and pixel. Thanks so much for your post.

That really depends on what you are up to. The two excels in different aspects, one is for editing and one is for vector graphics. For me I prefer Photoshop since I mostly edits pictures.

I've always used Photoshop, but then Illustrator seems like a worthy investment I should make.

I personally, am certified in Photoshop and not Illustrator. I like Photoshop a lot more because to me it is simpler to use and it is much more flexible then Illustrator is as Illustrator is more for vector graphics, and Photoshop and InDesign is for designing and photo manipulation, but Illustrator is indeed better for things like logos, where you might need to enlarge the image without it becoming all pixelized.

About 6 months. If you get Photoshop, use it for multiple things and find some practice tests online. You should be good. I took it while I was in high school, so it was free for me and I passed it the first time. I think there may be a fee each time you take it if you aren't taking it in school. I also am certified in Dreamweaver which took a little bit longer to practice and such than Photoshop did. With Dreamweaver, if you take it in high school (which I did) you can get college credit for it. At least in my state. Don't know about Private Universities and other states though.

I see, does these courses have grading's like Bachelor, Master, PhD etc? Sorry for asking such question :P . I hope my country won't strike the price too high or I can't afford it. Anyway, do you use a permanent copy of Photoshop or do you use a monthly/yearly subscription?

I would like to know because a permanent subscription may be very expensive for amateurs and medium-income at the beginning but they seem to be much more worth it in long term. However, some companies might demand newer function that will, burden those with another piece of high-cost software.

The monthly subscription however is cheap and affordable for both newcomer's and amateurs ( and students ). You can also cancel the subscription when you are not using it. The updates also come in flow and don't come in tides. You don't need to spend huge amount of money only to see your company need to use a " newer product". However, if you are using the same software and did not update or use any of the new features, the advantage might diminishes as time passes.

No they do not. It is pretty much a bunch of practice tests, but when they tell you if you got the answer right or wrong, you need to make sure to read through all the options or the steps to completeing the question, as that is what really gets to prepared for the test. Also, I use a permanent copy of Photoshop, but a subscription would work just as well I believe.
