I have used blogger, wordpress as well as weebly. All of these have paid as well as free versions. If you use blogger, you can easily use adsense with and monetize your blog. If you want to use paid version, I suggest you to try weebly, it is the best platform for the novice.

I have tried blogger, wordpress and weebly. Blogger is good for the starter, however, if you are professional wordpress is good for you. By they way weebly is also good for amateur as well as professional blogger.
