There are two ways to answer this question. The first and most obvious are the evergreen topics that are popular all year long like weight loss, health, making money... These topics attract people all the time though even these have seasonal highs and lows. Weight loss is big when people make new year resolutions to loose weight and just before summer when people want to loose a few pounds to fit into a swim suit, wedding dress or look good for a class reunion. Make money usually slumps when the weather is good and picks up at tax time and when the Christmas VISA bills start showing up. Health is pretty even over the year but your audience tends to be older people or middle aged people that just realized that their life is potentially half over.
The other way is seasonal sites. Sites that sell seasonal items, like Halloween costumes, can do very well in the season. Also sites that sell things like lawn mowers, golf equipment... tend to do well year around as there are always places where the weather is good. The advantage to these types of sites is that you have to work really hard for a short period of time and can basically ignore them the rest of the year.
The main thing though is not what you are selling but the quality of the site. People are more likely to buy from a site that has good information and helps them make decisions. Review sites for products like cameras or weight loss products can do extremely well if the site offers solid information on the topic and not just thinly hidden ads for products.
