Re: Forum Owners: do you give warnings?

I don't delete comments left by others. giving a warning to others if the comments are insulting, otherwise, just a casual remark to keep the forum clean

We follow a 3 warning system. First warning and a link to the Forum Rule. Second and Third warnings with a reason behind it and a PM. Mostly the user understand it if they really want to stick with your Forum - else well, they are banned. Usually by the user name and not by IP unless of course we realize the IP is spamming.

Yes. As long as they don't follow my forum rules, I will warn them and even ban.
Ofc. I will give them 1 or 2 warnings not 10 :)
And if someone has 3 warnings I will ban them.

If I am the owner of a writing or paying site I would surely give warnings before i delete accounts of those who violated some rules.

no no warnings yet, I didn't warn anyone nor I got from anyone, but it is good when we see the spammers in our site then we can warn to protect our site.

It's a little different with the umbrella sites like Forum Wheel. Some of the owners who use FW are very particular. You have to do everything perfectly. I was just referring to typical forums rather than those that are paying people to post. I would imagine that those that pay are going to be fairly strict. I would.
