You need people to get talking about it in other places, getting backlinks (which also helps with SEO), give them a reason to come back, whether through some kind of reward or point system or just giving them a place where they want to come back and talk every day.

You will need to spend cash too if you want it to be popular.You could try to make it like forumwheel or forumcoin.You have to spend in the initial stages as you will reap the benefits in the latter stages of the forum.

Yeah.. this is a good way to attract some people to join your forum.The rewards doesn't have to be that big .. game giveaways could attract many gamers.

I have posted on lots of forums and one of the most popular topics is being able to talk about different ways to make money online .. but some sites will not allow this because they think it will take people away from theirs. Wrong. We are all here to make money and exchanging ideas about different ways to do it. I have noticed it actually keeps people coming back.

Chatabout used to be a very good site but the censorship is so high now. You only have to mention the word Swagbucks and your post is gone. I even got one deleted for mentioning rented referrals without actual disclosing the site name!! People will always be looking for different ideas whatever sites they are using. Letting them talk with others about new ideas will keep them coming back and posting.
