Creating a paying forum will need budget and also have to check for spam posts, so I will not tell anyone to convert their non paying to paying. But how reddit is responsible? Do Reddit compete with forums?

Simple people who are suppose to join your forum wont join anymore because they can simply have 1 reddit account for all the communities they can join. Lets say you have a star wars forum. Why join a forum about star wars, If reddit have an active community of star wars fans.

Maybe if you could be putting some reward incentive it would make it interesting for the people to be active more on it.I me a not everyday but weekly and monthly.

But that is not the crowd I want to attract. I want the casual crowd because I don't need to pay them.

I have never owned a forum, however, I am interested in creating one. By the way, how do you make that amount? Through network ads (adsense, infolinks), or private sponsor?

Understood this, so unless theyfind better in a forum, they won't join.

If you are interested in creating forum, I thing you have to make budget first, and revenue is best from wherever it comes.

Yes I made money from ads, I don't need hundreds of members, As long as I have at least 10 active members, It is enough because I make money from the lurkers. I don't really want to pay people because of their post quality and they sound fake.

I think that forums are definitely declining compared to where they were a decade ago or more, but they still have a variety of benefits that no other platform can offer. While the use of platforms like Reddit or social media is restricted in the sense that you are bound by their terms of service, a forum is bound only by its own terms of service (other than having to comply with its host's TOS, which generally isn't an issue as long as the purpose of the site is legitimate).

I cannot say how were forums like in the past, let say 2-3 years ago. However, ever since I joined forums about 6 weeks ago, I have come across a lot of active forums that are paying for posting.

Many forums cannot stand the test of time so some of them die out while others have reduce activities and earnings.

How can ForumCoin and other communities evolve to continue to attract people?

This also fascinates me how come Forumcoin and other forums still standing while others are already gone. Maybe they are really good at managing their sites. Good job ForumCoin hope you could last for many decades till we will get old. Hehe

@Mika I make money with adsense. My adsense account will be banned if I am caught paying members. I use the Xenforo script. It caused me $140 to buy have the site set up. I pay a moderator and his job is easy, to edit the post of spammers into real post, it gives the illusion my forum is still active.

Some forums stand the test of time while others die as soon as they show up. It only boils down to proper management. When a site is paying out more than what it generates, that's a problem right there and the rules need to change.

Do you have good experiences with AdSense? I always felt that my earnings were extremely low when I used AdSense.

Do you mean to say if you opened your forum to paid posting, it will be against adsense rule? If that is a case, why do I see adsesne ads on FC sometimes.

Nope my forum is not a Pay to post. I have that forum since I am 10 years old. It is a forum of videogame fans. It is meant to be a community of people. Not a paid to post. Its an old school plain forum. Adsense dont really like PTP.

Well I think the forums have woken up from the dead now as there is a variety now it seems. However, what bothers me is the survival of these sites. I hope they'd be able to stand the test of time.

Wow, you owned a forum when you were just. I just checked the website you have linked, is that the forum you are talking about? I was not aware that adsense does not like the PTP site.

Forumcoin is intended to be a PTP since the beginning so I dont know its deal with Adsense. My forum is just for nerds to talk about a certain videogame series. Yes that is my forum. My forum uses Xenforo so adsense may have a different opinion with it.
