Of course this is frowned upon. You don't really think you're the first person who ever thought up this idea, do you?Google is onto this. I've even heard that they can tell when you pay for views, much less clicks, by the behavior of the visitors. I wouldn't do it. It's best to keep things above board anyway.
Just going to add to this huge quote bubble.... If they are using video ads (which is what I think the OP was hinting at a bit), then actually yes, tell people to watch videos... Don't tell them to click on ads.
