Fre sub domain and you pay for it monthly?

Actually I pay for it a year at a time. That's how confident I am.

$12 at once and you are ready to enjoy the rest of the year. That is pretty cool, you worry less about terminations

I have been using them since mid 2008, so termination is the least of my worries. I have posted hundreds of websites for various campaigns and never had a problem

Though yet to own a website, l had planned to start one with a free domain name. I will be glad to get a.com extension if possible.

That is good then. It makes sense to worry not about deletion or termination. That is the power of using a trusted provider.

Using free domains can be a good starting point. And I too think, paid domains often come with additional features and customer support that can enhance your overall experience.

I have a blog that I was using a free domain. Surprisingly, I didn't get good traffic. I just had spare cash and decided to pay for a domain. Same level of promotion, but traffic increased by more than 30 percent. Can't explain that.

It would take a book to list all the possible reasons, but you found the correct solution. which is test, test, test and make decisions based on the results.

As a blogger, using a free domain makes it difficult for people to remember the URL of your site by heart. Making it difficult for some to ever visit.

That is quite true. Most big blogs that we know today started with free domains. If you don't have money to buy a domain, you can do with free domains.

They often come with limitations - like fewer features and less control over your site.

Also, the whole ownership thing can be a bit tricky with free domains. If you decide to switch to a paid one down the line, it could mess with your branding and how search engines see your site.

Paid domains might cost you, but they usually come with more flexibility, better support, and a more legitimate image.

It's worth noting that many successful blogs and websites did start with free domains. This serves as an inspiration for those who may not have the financial means to purchase a domain initially. With dedication and hard work, it is possible to build a strong online presence even with limited resources.

Investing in a paid domain is worth it in the long run. While free domains may seem appealing initially, the limitations and potential issues with ownership can hinder your website's growth and credibility.

If I want to open a blog, I won't use a free domain because it is always seen as unprofessional. I doubt you can even monetizate a site using ad networks on a free domain.

One thing about free domains is to make sure to renew them months before they expire because if you dont, You cant have them back. Thats based from my personal experience.

Visitors prefer top domain names than subdomains. I also end to buy than using free unless is for testing purposes.

It's a good practice to auto-renew free domains in advance to ensure that your domain stays active.
