I would not pay for a plagiarism tool. The reason being I don't get enough Guest Posts to do that. But it's good to know there are free plagiarism check tools out there.

I always check my own work before publishing or submitting to the third party site. There are times I found similar sentences so I need to rephrase those.

You don't need a checking tool for it. Just select about hundred or so words by right clicking. Click at the link "Search Google for" (Shown in in the circle). Search more text for further plagiarism check.
Note- check about a paragraph at a time.

You don't need a plagiarism tool if you re the only person writing on your site. However, if you have people writing on your site, you have to check the user submitted posts for plagiarism. This is to ensure that you have original contents on your site.

I agree with the others. Grammarly is a useful tool that can check for plagiarized posts.

I am not sure... Grammarly generally returns most original content as plagiarized content in most cases. I have tested it personally and do not trust in this site.

I have been using grammalry for years now and i can say it is one of the best tools available. I use it when I have quotes research material. Some site insists that you cannot go above a certain percentage of quoted material. It is pretty helpful in those cases and catches the odd mistakes you passed up while editing your own article.
It is a great tool for those who are not sure about their grammar.

nakitakona wrote:If you don't have any plagiarism checker, it could be checked easily. Just copy a line, a phrase or even the whole sentence and the paste it to search bar. Any similar phrase or the whole sentence is displayed. That means any search engines have indexed it. Then you click the link and find out the source. If that phrase has already been used by others, you may chance it or paraphrase it so that it wouldn't look that you copy or plagiarized others work.

Indeed but for quick check. But if your work contains checking a certain article if it is plagiarised or not, then better download a plagiarism checker app recommended by the other members above.

That's what I mean, if you trust any particular tool or website this is a possibility too.

I haven't used Grammarly to check for plagiarism but I can believe it when you say it's not always reliable. As a remote proofreader/editor, I use it almost exclusively at the final stage just to pick up on any remaining errors I may have missed. And wow, if you don't know what you're doing and lean too heavily on it, you're going to return shoddy work. I find myself dismissing quite a lot of its corrections and suggestions.

Grammarly and easybib are both tools that check for plagiarism. I have not used either one of them. I have been writing and blogging for over 10 years. I don't check my work for plagiarism. Never have. I figure if somebody wants to accuse me I'll take them on and challenge them to prove it. In fact, somebody tried to. I contacted the platform where I had published my content, shared my experience about the person accusing me, and told them to look over my work and decide. My content is still there. I haven't heard any more about the matter. Of course I suspect the person is still a tad bit annoyed. But is it my fault our life experiences were so similar? The experience I wrote about was my real life experience. In fact, I actually had handwritten notes in like a journal and had saved it several years before I ever decided to publish the writings online. I didn't even know this person then! :?

I don't check my work for plagiarism and I don't check other people to see if they are plagiarizing my work. My experience has been people did not plagiarize me. They just copied my content my word for word! What nerve! But it turned out that I did not have to pursue them because at that site the editors were handling the matter. Evidently at that site, a lot of the writers were having people copy their content and the site owners didn't want that happening.

Even I haven't ever checked

Even I have never checked my content or grammar by any tool. I write what I write and have it published. I don't want to depend on someone to tell me whether I have done it right or wrong. I know I am not a writer but just expressing my own views.

Copy part of your article. Paste it at Goggle Search. If the article appears somewhere else, that idiot person copied your article. I had 14 articles plagiarized by lazy people

I remember in school there was something called turnitin.com where students submitted work to the teacher through it and it automatically checked for plagurism.

To check for plagiarism, it's also important to get assistance from a librarian. Let's say if it's a medical research, the librarian of a medical library can help by getting related materials to get to know if a document is plagiarized.

Yeah, grammarly is great for checking the quality of your content. As for plagiarism checkers, I don't know any sites but they can be great to avoid posting contents that will be considered plagiarized.
