I am not sure... Grammarly generally returns most original content as plagiarized content in most cases. I have tested it personally and do not trust in this site.

Any similar phrase or the whole sentence is displayed. That means any search engines have indexed it. Then you click the link and find out the source. If that phrase has already been used by others, you may chance it or paraphrase it so that it wouldn't look that you copy or plagiarized others work.

I haven't used Grammarly to check for plagiarism but I can believe it when you say it's not always reliable. As a remote proofreader/editor, I use it almost exclusively at the final stage just to pick up on any remaining errors I may have missed. And wow, if you don't know what you're doing and lean too heavily on it, you're going to return shoddy work. I find myself dismissing quite a lot of its corrections and suggestions.
