That's not correct. backlinks are important for traffic and search engine ranking, however, there are also other things that brings traffic. Search engines love long contents.

To be frank I haven't heard about YOAST. If it really helps in writing better SEO-friendly content, and if it does away with other tools like Grammarly, etc, then it is surely worth a try for those trying to attract plenty of traffic to their articles, even if it means spending some money.
sofs wrote:Yoast is good, I thought it is free plugin that comes with wordpress sites. Correct me if I am wrong. With yoast you don''t need Grammarly or other tools. I usually write, format and post my articles, yoast throws the whole thing out of whack and I end up spending another hour or so tweaking the article. LOL that is my only grouse against yoast.

Google may love so many things to make millions. My point is that in today's fast paced life where fast foods like burger and pizza rules the roost, where is the time to read long articles?

Also research by serpIQ, which analyzed top 10 results for over 20,000 keywords came to the conclusion that Google ranks content that have more than 2,000 words better than content with fewer words. have you ever given it a thought?
