Re: Getting readers to post comments on a Blog

LOL. I'm done with trying to get readers to comments at my blogs. I just want traffic! I need visitors and if they say never even let me know they were there, at least maybe their visit will generate Google Ad Sense revenue.

I wish they would just show up and click on some of the ads.

You have a point, what ultimately matters is you are earning money from ad clicks or product sells.

I have nothing monetized right now so I am not in the race. But I can tell some of you that I visit your blogs or links when I find them on different websites/social media etc. And I never tell this to anyone unless someone wants my cooment on their blogs.

Join a group of bloggers in the Facebook for they are exchanging comments to their members' sites. There are rules to follow but they are easy. Check the Facebook for those groups or find a someone to refer you to the said group. Once you signify to join with them, you will to introduce self and say something about your site.

Yeah. I don't want to discount getting blog comments because they are useful too. Blog comments help improve your blog's search engine ranking. But I have been trying for a long time to generate revenue from Ad Sense. I've become impatient and weary.

If your blog is having a valuable message then obviously visitors would do comment.

When you have comments that add value to your posts, your comments will be viewed positively by Google. Comments also mean engagements which reduces bounce rate.

How will "their visit will generate Google Adsense revenue"? All along, I have only read that clicks on ads (adsense) bring in revenue.

In fact, good and relevent comments become part of the blog and add value to the content. The more the knoledge based comment, increased the value of the blog. Good comments help listing a blog in SEO rank.

These days it is quite difficult to have valuable comments on your blog. Even though people are reading, they are lazy to leave comments. Most of those who comment are spammers.

Did you read everything that I wrote? That partial quote is misconstruing what I said.

Yes. I read everything you wrote and to say the truth, I did not understand your initial sentence/s. May be American English!? I am accustomed to British English!

@raaman - If you want to earn from Google Ad Sense click on the link I supplied. Comments are great. Clicking on ads is better.

Yes, comments are great and clicks are even better. However, we should be careful about not manipulating clicks. We should never offer incentives for clicking on ads.

I get more spams than actual comments.. though I know from the statistics that the are more people on my blogs who seem to hang around and read.. Yet to get them to comment has been rather difficult. However, blogs were doing well before the Google pengiuns we used to get a whole lot of comments on our sites and blogs from other bloggers.

Anybody who signed up for Google Ad Sense knows better than to do that. The ones who did not know better knew better after they got their account suspended or disabled. Although in responding to this discussion I found an interesting story link. The report is dated May 2018 so it isn't exactly old news.

That's an interesting story. I was moved my a claim from an adsense user who says he was banned even though he had been using adsense for more than 5 years.

I read the article, it even has a link where wemasters can submit their claim. But the article does not mention whether the blocked accounts will be activated.
