Cross-Site-Scripting

Postby jacktheking » 07 Sep 2014, 08:38

If you are a web-developer, you probably heard of Cross-Site-Scripting or XSS in short. I came to know about XSS two months back. I was shocked that I did have 'Anti-XSS' feature for my web-based game. I'm lucky that no one hack my website or even database. If that happen.. I dont know..

How do you know about XSS? Are you a victim of XSS? How do you prevent XSS?

Cross-Site-Scripting also 'XSS' or simply hacking is done by putting 'harmful' script (commonly javascript) into forms. Thus, they can have access to the database or change the web content.

Is there anyway to prevent that?

Yes, there is lots of ways to prevent XSS attack. People commonly use 'htmlspecialchars' to prevent - PHP.

Hi Friends,

I am not developed to that extent to know and understand about "Cross-site-Scripting", but I know that it is also a type of hacking.
