Famous and Popular search engine Google is offering free internet for poor Americans, they are offering this free internet facility from their Google Fiber. This is announced by Google recently low income group people have this free internet offer and where internet facility is no available.

First they have launched this facility in Kansas city market and soon they will spread this to other places of America and now they are offering this free Internet facility to 1000 families with 1000 Mbps facility with this facility now they can download one HD movie in 7 seconds. Wow Google

There was a prediction that I had read in a magazine about the wiring of the world. Before the year 2020, half of the countries of the world will be connecte by wireless access of the internet.

wow that's nice but i have one question as you have put it does it mean that this poor Americans already have computers or are they going to be offered computers as well. If so they must be very fortunate

In my opinion are the luckiest people because our country does not think it will do that ever, after money is power, but to be something free, would be very bad on our part to accept something .

Yes, I had read about this on a Facebook post, but I did not read the entire article. My thing is, why are they providing free internet to low income areas, and yet world hunger has been a thing for as long as we all can remember. Nobody is doing anything to create a substantial different about that.

I think the free Internet will be provided into the areas where the people will be able to connect and to use for free the network connections, and not as free Internet at home. It's using in many countries to provide Internet for free in well defined areas.

But they are already doing that now, right? I live in the UK, and we have many free internet wifi hotspots, and I am assuming that it is similar in the US. In the areas, over here, where we have free internet, they are not particularly affluent areas either.

Thank you for the links, but I can't say I believe that Google are working on solving world hunger. With how much money they have they could solve world hunger in a heartbeat if they really wanted to. Far from that it doesn't even take money to solve it. It would just take fair sharing of the world's food.

There is already internet access for poor Americans. All you have to do is visit your local library. Sure, you might have to wait for your turn, and you have to go in a building that surrounds you in books. But pretty much every library in the US has a row of computer banks for public use.

Exactly. This is exactly my point, so I don't see what the big deal is about this or what the difference is. A publicity stunt maybe?

I think they all have smartphones as they do not care for cheaper things. It should be either free or costly.

I don't think that it is a matter of being offered computers. I think it is about being offered internet connection for free. But the internet is all around us at all times, but you need a device to connect to it.

I think Google has not discovered...America with this free access to the Internet. Long ago already the free access to the Internet is available in the European countries, and I am sure in America too. That's why the people can't detach their eyes and their ears from the smartphones while walking on the street, paying not any attention if a train will hit them.

Luxembourg has no free internet, only in the capital city near the bus and train station.

In a way there already was free internet if you consider that some McDonalds and other fast food chains have free Wi-Fi. Our local Tim Hortons (We have 4) all have free Wi-Fi and the library is a good place to get free access to computers and an internet connection with a library card of course. I guess this is an interesting move I sure wish I could get mine discounted, I was in a promo but it has ended.
