SEO GUIDE

Postby Sam » 07 Feb 2016, 08:32

I thought I'd share this pretty amazing and comprehensive article I found: http://backlinko.com/google-ranking-factors. There are 205 "Ranking Factors" listed. Well worth considering, I think. :)

There is something important I didn't know: We should avoid the word "sponsor" "sponsored links". I am going to rename "Sponsor" usergroup into "Premium" ;)

I appreciate your generosity Sam, but I don't want to turn my entertainment into a JOB. I will just take what Google throws at me for being myself and acting naturally.

No matter how many articles I read and how I try to implement SEO it never seems to do my blog any good.

Maybe its because I'm a random personal or "lifestyle" blogger instead of a tight niche.

I agree, with @nonersays and @oldbuddy . Part of my reason why is because I can't be bothered to a grueling task of keyword brainstorming. I think, it's as long as I have a wide range of synonyms for my particular words or point of interest. I think. I hope I know what I'm talking about right now. I use a dictionary and Thesaurus apps. Very convenient and useful with SEOing my contents.

You know what they say, "The proof of the pudding is in the eating". After a while, open a Private Window in your browser and try your keywords. The reason for the Privacy is to make sure you don't influence the results with your own history.

I used to title my pages in HTML code and have key words on every page so I could get a higher ranking.

Not any more.

I found I can write articles using key words and Google will do the rest.

So my SEO has taken a back seat and I just go with the flow. :)

I write and do internet for fun. When it becomes where I am trying to compete or please Google, I just back off.

Just my 2 cents worth.

Me too! I can't stay in a niche and I am fine with the way my blogs are. At one point in the past, my non-niche blogs made more money than my friend's niche blogs. Now, things have changed and those time of making money with blogs are dead, and my page rank hasn't changed for years.

I still think that knowing more about SEO will help though!
