Monetizing Website

Postby Rebekah Isaac » 13 Feb 2016, 15:36

This isn't tutorial. I'm requesting for a tutorial in this thread. I'm technologically challenged but I welcome learning every IT aspect of technology. I started a blog and I'd like to make money out of it. How do you go about monetizing, in terms of Ad Sense?

You have to sign up with Adsense, and I have known some people to be rejected from Adsense in the past. For what reasons, I am not sure why. But when some of them have applied again, they were accepted. Do some research into ad placement, so you know the best sizes and places to place ads to maximize clicks.

That's it. Sign up with Adsense and when approved, you will be provided with a set of codes that you have to infuse in your website. That will be the handle for Adsense to display ads in your website so you can earn from it.

I have an opposing opinion, because AdSense is a detriment to building a loyal following and that is where the real money is. I would be much more likely to return to a blog that offered me extreme value instead of ads in my face, wouldn't you? Maybe a banner or two, or even some in context ads, but AdSense is low paying and steals your traffic.

Are you a crafty person? Other people who blog sells their own merchandise thru their blogs :) I think it is a better way to earn money thru it instead of thru ads.

I agree with you completely, but there is no end to the number of items of your own you could sell without a crafty bone in your body. One high yield option is information that other people would be willing to pay for in the form of an ebook or special report. You have unlimited inventory with no cost and instant delivery.

I have used Adsense in the past and budgeted $100/month for my expense.

I was able to get a lot of hits and inquiries.

What I was not able to do was make the Adsense profitable.

Nothing beats Marketing by Relationship. It is slow, It is frustrating, but in my opinion, it is the best way to make money online.

Marketing continues to be the challenge to overcome.

Just my 2 cents worth.
