Paying someone to help monetize your site

Postby thisnthat » 01 Apr 2016, 14:25

How would you even go about this? What would a reasonable rate of pay be? I know most people just do it themselves, but I don't really have the time (and I'm not good at it). If I were to pay someone to help me, how would that work? Would it be too expensive to even consider?

Hi Friends,

I am also ready to share some of my profits if some would like to help me in making monetizing site, I do not have that much knowledge to create and monetize the site to earn money. But I promise to share the profits in percentage basis what the amount generate from that site, if any body interested can contact me for further negotiations.

I would not want to release enough personal access to allow anyone to do this for me. They would need to act on your behalf to get you paid and who knows where that could lead later on?

I am with @oldbuddy on this about your personal information being given to another person!

In general, the more traffic you have to your site, the better chance you will have to make money with adsense. Well, or at least expose your posts or your products to more people. There are lots of information online, and you just have to take a bit of time a day to read the articles that were written by professionals. I don't mean taking their words literally but to gain general knowledge and then applying to your own perspective.

I am against paying someone to help monetize a site. Instead, I am of the opinion that you should ask the person to teach you how to do it yourself. You will have to create time to do that else you may not also have the time to manage the site.

If I ask someone to monetize my site I must give that person my personal information, details like your passwords.

@icyfirefly is right, there are a lot of information on web about this topic, we only need to take some time to read it.

Yeah, I hear ya. The person I had in mind is a relative, but yeah, that's not always a guarantee, I guess. The person just has a lot more experience than I do, so it was just a thought.

I'm still curious what the cost might be. Maybe a percentage thing could work, as noted above.

I wouldn't ask just anybody to do this, as people have noted that it could turn out badly.

What kind of services do you have in mind for this? I guess if it's a simple "spread the word" or scatter your URL, then it can't be too bad.

Yeah, that would probably be a better solution than getting someone else "intimately" involved in my site. I'm just frustrated with it at the moment, and it dawned on me that I should try to find some help. It's probably not my best idea.

If the numbers pencil out and you have a reasonable risk tolerance, it's an excellent idea. Just keep mulling it over until the light goes on and see where it goes.

I don't think that asking someone's help to monetize the own website it's so risky, because in my mind that help should consisting in technical consulting, and not in full access to my own site. Once the consulting has been done, another person has not again access to my website.

If you are talking about just giving advice on what to do, that makes sense, I'm not sure how you would fairly measure and compensate someone for that.

@ksridharprasad what sites do you hold? What services or products that you offer?

You may not have much knowledge about monetizing but atleast it gives rough knowledge on sho would be your target market. From there lots can be sorted out.

When you say monetize are you talking about something like adding Adsense to your blog? I have learned everything myself for blogging and other things would not pay someone if I could help it. I think a lot of what you want to do could be found on Youtube or with some hard research. Is your blog already active with some content on it? I guess not to sound stupid I am not sure what you need help with aside from monetize as in making money with the blog? More info please if you can.

If the kind of monetization you need is Adsense on yoir blog like someone talked about the better thing to do is to study the adsense policies carefully and work it out yourself. I think their rules are simple and straight to understand. You may not someone to do that on your behalf.

If you hired someone to set it up and they did something that got your account banned, how would you feel?
