Are you making more than $1/month from your website or blog

Postby niche » 25 Apr 2016, 00:51

Do you make more than $1/month from your website or blog or do you make more than $1 regularly per month? If you make more than $1 per month how do you monetize your website, do you use adsense or some other ad network and how many visitors do you get monthly?

Some months my blog doesn't make me money, sometimes one of my youtube videos makes more than my blog (both have Adsense). Adsense is the only passive earner on my blog the rest is some referral banners. Kind of my fault though I don't push to promote my blog as often and don't update it as often as I could. This was suppose to be a change in the New Year but I have not got around to it yet.

Currently I am not monetizing my personal blog. I used to update my personal blog quite consistently and added some ads there, but I am not sure if I did earn $1 per month. Now I am having my blog in BlogJob, I should be able to earn more than $1 per month there.

I started my blogs about two years ago. and after seeing how difficult it would be to earn well in a decent amount of time, I stopped updating some of them. They earn passively, but nowhere near close to one dollar a month.

No, I don't earn too much with my blog, maybe because I was not approved on AdSensse and I use only Chitika. The earnings with Chitika are less and slow.

It very difficult to get visitors to a website in 2016 and make more than $1/month from cpm or cpc advertising, text link advertising appears to be the only option available . It was far easier to make money in 2010

I don't earn money directly from my websites or blogs, but they do promote my primary business (tools for making money online) which earns me $150 to $300 a month and growing.

No, I translate and I sell my commenting and content service to others as well, but I like to write and I blog out of passion. I earn the least with the advertising, but I do have all kind of a publisher's accounts. In my opinion they pay too little.

I have taken up blogging as my hobby and the revenue generated from it is really low. Among other things I happen to write articles and sell them too.

I haven't been serious with monetizing my blog just been busy online doing other tasks. I am kind of surprise to see that people struggling to make just a $1/month on their blogs. Is it that hard? I guess if you get the blogging skills right this would be no matter

My blogs stopped earning for about two years now! Things have changed quite drastically, and advertisers also stopped buying for paid posts since they got penalized from Google.

I am now doing different things to make money, and it always ticked me off when I see people said Make Money Blogging, or Start a Blog to Make Money type of things. It is not that easy and it takes a long time for a blog to get indexed and traffic.

You can make money with the blogging in the different ways but putting the advertising units. Also, it is not the same from everyone to earn with the same advertisers.
Focused niche webpages do much better than general topic blogs, so I don't see why you get a tick on something that is so plain and obvious.
I made a blog for a client who was doing crafts, clicks were incredible, still on my blogs I do very bad because I don't do such a things.

Oh I wish it was the case with me  I hardly earn anything thru blogging and most of my online revenue came from working as a freelance writer. I just continue blogging as a past time while waiting for writing clients.

I'm currently not earning money from my websites. Unfortunately. I will try though to get approved by AdSense.

If you only plan on earning from AdSense, all I can say is good luck my friend.

If you are not able to spend time and money promoting the blog, it is difficult to get visitors and make $1 / month as passive income from CPC or CPM advertising. In some cases for text link advertising, it may be easier to make money from the website.

You could be right, depending on Adsense alone to make money on a blog is being myopic. One can make a lot more by offering paid services to visitors.

There was a time that one of my forums made a little bit of money from AdSense (not enough to cover the hosting, but a little to help), but that time has passed! It would be nice to make a little bit of money off a site.

I don't use adsense. I use other programs like yourself that earn a nice return every month. I just cashed out today on one of my favorite sites :)
