Safelists

Postby rchas » 17 Jun 2016, 10:27

Just wondered if anyone has built a list using safelists - in particular can anyone recommend Simplesafelist run by Debbie Penner?
She writes about 'The Plan' arguing that investing in Safelists and gradually building up credits in multiple lists, upgrading and using ad coops to build referrals in many lists, will provide enough momentum to gain a reliable monthly income, eventually.

I have always been worried about being bombarded by so many emails that I cannot possible read (and gain credit for) that I figure my own postings will suffer the same fate and it will all become a pointless exercise of posting and being ignored with everyone doing the same.
Maybe there is another view on this. I am open to suggestions.

I am not familiar with this site or heard about it. You're the first! But from your post, I know that it is not for me, especially when it comes to build referrals. I am terrible at that. Haven't got a referral under my name anywhere :(

@ IcyFirefly, I am not much of a recruiter either, but I am learning!
There are better ways to win friends ( and maybe referrals) by presenting yourself as someone who is genuine. It is the often quoted "someone you know, like and trust." who develops a reputation for honesty and integrity. By gaining reputation here on this forum you are moving in the right direction. My advice is to keep building friends here and when you have an offer that will help them in what they are looking for, they will be likely to join you.

Yours is a helpful idea.

A web marketer would obtain more benefits from friends and referrals who are trustworthy.

These other random referrals/friends are just that; random and hence unreliable.

I agree with both of your posts. I don't see the method described above working out very well. Sure, you may eventually get a couple of productive referrals, but in my mind, most of the people that join are going to do so with the same intent as everyone else: building a list of referrals. If only a handful are actually active, how does that lead to success?

I think your idea here is much better. I think many of us have gotten to know each a bit over the years, enough to know that if there is a legit opportunity our friends here will work it. I think they would be happy to use our referral links as thanks for sharing a real opportunity with them.
