Online data entry

Postby nickmark » 21 Jul 2016, 17:55

This industry is full of scammers and some of the legit sites pay peanuts. Someone who has experience in this can share with us, the legit one and how they work. You can also yell us about the scammers.

A recent thread on the money and wealth forum discussed this matter.
A specific site was mentioned whose name I can't recall unfortunately.
Perhaps you could check there?

There is a thread about this in another section of this forum. And it seems that the consensus in that thread is that no one here really has successful experience with data entry work online.

I once did a work for a few days but gladly I found out that it was just a scam so I backed out. Have not been able to find any legit work or site for that matter...

Yep. Or some of them will even swindle you into paying them for the pleasure of working for them, which if that is not a red flag I don't know what it. I would advise anyone looking for this type of work online to find a different online earning field.

Yes even I have searched and come across a lot of sites for online data entry but still couldn't find a site which is legit and worth the time spending. :?

I don't think there is any single site which is legit and gives online data entry jobs. If you do find one, do share with us too. ;)

I think this is an hasty conclusion. Although I am not in any data entry site somehow I believe there may be few genuine ones out there. You just have to do more searches and go for reviews.

Honestly I don't think this type of online job would be worth it. Most data entry jobs can be automated with today's technology anyway so these jobs cannot be paying well. But- If you are keen on doing online data entry, perhaps there are some roles advertised on Freelancer / Upwork.

I have given some registration fee for a particular site and they have sent me some files to work. I have finished that and sent them but they have given me 100 Rs for my 8 hours of work. And some times they wont pay also. So please don't waste your time.

Oh no, that was a bad experience. I think you should be glad you discovered on time. It's really terrible to spend good time on a site and later find it's a scam

I never believed in sites that pay for a user to entry data online that's why I never tried to find any. Only once I tried that captcha thing but gave up in a couple of days after becoming a member of it. Just a matter in fact I find that each day is more difficult to make money online, I've tried so many things even selling online and it is a jungle out there :(.

I don't know if they are a scam but it's so hard to earn that people never reach the cashout rate. You need to be really fast and accurate or there's no point in trying. I was hopeless when I tried it.

A work which is comparatively easier and could be done by millions, naturally would be difficult to find out and scam-prone. There are some Captcha jobs which are a kind of data entry work. Other than that, I have not found any such legit site to mention.

Perhaps you could report these scammers to Google or whoever?
It is not fit to easily let these thugs off the hook.
