Do You Promote Online?

Postby oldbuddy » 01 Aug 2016, 00:39

Have you done any kind of advertising (free or paid) to market anything online?

Do you track your results?

How good do the results need to be for you to continue your campaign?

I promote with free advertising quite a lot and have recently started tracking my results. It has been interesting to watch and very educational, but randomness seems to play a large part in how well it does.

How about you?

Absolutely. I promote my blog and I'm learning how to use Google Analytics. I'm also learning how to read the charts in my Amazon Associates Affiliate account.

I don't give up easily. Even if I'm not getting the results I want I'll "tweak" things and see what happens. I experiment and learn as I go.

In past I have done few paid advertising on some PTC sites and obviously for money making site. (actually I wasn't intend to cashout so I use cash for ads). But honestly I get nothing out of it.

About blogging, I do free advertise on twitter only. And yes I follow the result and gives good result too.

I promote my blog for free. Have never tried paid ads. I use social media and backlinks. Both have been inconsistent and generate minimal traffic although I haven't been really aggressive at it, I do see a potential for a greater response if I made efforts.

Like @Decentlady, I have only promoted my blogs and articles that I wrote on various website for free, but not even consistent at it. I only do this if the post/or article worth sharing.

I'm not yet comfortable with all this promotion stuff. I'm still learning, and I don't like it (although I know it's necessary). I only use free means at the moment, although I know that some people do paid promotion.

So far, I have only shared some blog posts in Twitter, Google+ and Pinterest. I also shared some referral links in traffic exchange sites.

I just recently knew we can pay to boost up our Facebook pages as my husband recently helped to boost an event his alumni organized, which is a new information to me.

I have not ever paid to promote anything online. I have used Twitter, Stumbleupon, Google +, Pinterest, Facebook, and a traffic exchange site. I don't know as any of it has done a lot of good but I know I have gotten traffic from some of them to the sites that I promoted.

I always promote my online work on different social media and get good result for that instantly. I can see the number of visitors provided the site owner has not hidden or stopped crediting the befit to my account but it goes to him indirectly.

Sounds like you have a bottom line accountability and that fits with my basic concept too. The ultimate impact needs to be felt there or the rest has no validity.

Sometimes i do but im no good or have no luck in getting referrals. From my free trys ( revshares , Traffic Exchanges , some ptcs that give you free money to advertize and a few other things ) is very very rare someone join.
My paid trys what works best for me is advertize in the clixsense grid but have to be something that is free

I am trying to keep at it. Although I have to admit that it is easier said than done. It takes a HUGE amount (for me) to keep on sharing my post and (hardly) see any results. Oh well, it might be just me trying to balance a lot of things at the same time.

When I was very eager to earn from referrals, I promote online. I joined different Facebook groups just to promote my online sites, but due to some of my online sites are closing, I feel awkward to promote now.

Did you notice any traffic from Facebook though ? Sorry if this is kind of late but would be good if we know if you noticed any improvement in traffic ?
