Free hosting for testing

Postby shamzblueworld » 08 Sep 2016, 08:13

Do any of you use any free hosting service for testing purposes? I need some work done, it is not really working well on XAMPP, so I need to set up some free hosting account where I can test it... Any recommendations or options?
Thanks

When I can get high quality hosting for $1 a month, I would feel much better about the results of my test being valid.

Since age is no longer creeping up on me, but rushing in like an NFL ball carrier on 4th down from the 1 yard line. it's very simple.

I do use free hosting to test a website or to hold a domain name until I am ready to use it. I use freehostia which seems to be the best one I have tried, but it does have limitations.

I used to use hostinger, but they have stopped allowing free hosting unless you buy a domain. They have allowed people to keep active domains still, so I have quite a few that are active on free hosting, but I am sure they could close them on a whim.

There are some of the forums that allow free hosting in exchange for posting. So you can have account from such sites. And if you don't want the site active anymore, you can just stop posting on forums and they stop hosting it.

You can park domains you are not using on Sedo and make money from it.

This is quite interesting. I didn't know we can do that, though I don't have any spare domains to park there now, it's good to know. Thanks for sharing! ;)

Where do you get high quality hosting for $1 per month? Is that a start up deal or does the price stay the same? What else should I know about it? Thanks.

I have been using NoSupportLinuxHosting for many years and it's excellent. They say no support to scare off the tire kickers, but if you have a problem that involves their service, they have more time to support you than those who are being pestered with trivia, so it makes sense to me. They also have no affiliate program, like some that offer huge bonuses to flood the servers with inexperienced customers that clog up the works.
