Blogger.com and Tumblr.com allow your own ads on their site. However WordPress.com doesn't allow your affliate links and ads. They have their own WordAds program for the bloggers. Also if you want ads on wordpress then you need hosting from some cpanel based host with Wordpress.org installation.

I had an account on Blogger but discontinued due to lack of motivation to blog. My recollection is that the site was easy to use and one didn't require knowledge of HTML. Judging from my web forays, I am under the impression that Wordpress is more professional, and recently signed up for an account to connect to a sponsored review site.

Link sharing is one of their features but you can write articles and run your own adverts on them. It is one complete platform for bloggers like you.

wordpress doesn't allow ads on their free version. you will have to upgrade if you want to run ads there or you will need cpanel based host with Wordpress.org installation. If you want to make money through blogging then go with cpanel based host with Wordpress.org installation so that you can run ads and affiliate programs there.

Please help me answer a question on Tumblr. Suppose I write 10 valid articles/papers every day for a month, what is the approximate earning?

Tumblr > blogger > Wordpress
Tumblr is the easiest to get a decent following on.
Blogger is the easiest to incorporate google adsense into.
Wordpress wants money so you can earn money.

This is first time I am hearing about it. I am on it, but I am only sharing links of some of my blogs. Is it give some kind of blog URL for all our articles. I have to get more information on it. Thanks.

I think tumblr is the more popular one. But if you want to be taken seriously then I don't think it's the right format. Perhaps Wordpress or Blogger are.

I use Wordpress for 2 blogs because the community I joined uses that blogging platform and they allow Ad Sense and affiliate links. The site owners are not using the free WP version.

I use Tumblr because they allow affiliate links. They used to allow Ad Sense but they don't unless you own your domain name. They were going to partner with members and share revenue but that plan never got started. (Bummer!)

I don't PREFER any platform over the other. I use them ALL for earning money. Whoever visits either blog and clicks on a link that generates revenue, I'm happy happy!

I have Wordpress and Blogger blogs, but none of them were monetized. I haven' tried tumblr though.
