So google analytics is free but it shares data with it's pool of user data. And this makes it harder for us to trust them. Though the tool is superior and useful but privacy is under concern with google's services.

I also checked piwik on my cpanel but it doesn't look mature like google analytics.

Which one have you picked for your website or blog?

I personally use Google Analytics for my sites that RUN adsense ads. I use statcounter analytics for other sites. As far as I know, Google analytics is much better.

You've thought about it deeply @skysnap, and that's a good thing. Google Analytics is great for statistics, but privacy concerns are perfectly valid.

Piwik (now Matomo) is a great alternative for those who want control over their data. While not as mature as Google, it does offer the freedom to store your own data.

I would choose based on privacy needs and ease of use. Keep exploring, experimenting in small steps, and learning. You're making smart decisions!
