So I have one cpanel host that does not support the gem I wish to use on the project. Also the deployment is not at all easy on the cpanel based hosts. I am just trying to find out if there are any ways with which I can test this project live. I have lot of things to learn this way but unfortunately I have just tested this on my local server.

Any pointers on where to host rails project ? and what wold you do if you want to test rails deployment live?

Ruby on Rails is quite popular, so your current cPanel host may be able to help you host it. Have yo contacted their support and asked if there is anything they can do for you?
