For those who are writing for their own site and they need an application or tool bar to boost their traffic, Alexa app is recommended by those who are experienced on website maintenance. Have you used this Alexa tool bar for your global ranking purpose? How are you doing? Does your site gain more traffic?

I personally have seen no benefit of using alexa. It can be a good tool if you wish to sell the websites on flippa. But apart from that alexa is useless. As those stats are purely speculation. And there is not much money to be made by keeping those widgets. I'd say if you are just playing for numbers then yeah have alexa on your site. otherwise it's no use.

I only have free blog register on blogspot, I`m not sure if I can use this tool for free blog`s ? I have installed Alexa tool bar on my Mozilla firefox.

Yes @makeinst I too am with you. It hasn't brought me any significant traffic boost digits however, it depends on individual efforts to drive traffic home. Alexa as a toolbar merely records what traffic influx your blog/site gets as per my understanding. I stand to be corrected.

I am using it but I don't see any use of it other than that it shows your traffic rank... I have not experienced it boosting the traffic or rank in any way.

From my own experience with my five blogs, Alexa ranking really didn't mean anything significant in term of traffic. It fluctuates every minutes. My blogger friends and I used to do review exchanges for our blogs, but then we gave up since it doesn't remain in the ranking level. I don't care about it anymore, and haven't bother with it for years.

To be very frank Alexa Rank is nothing but EGO satisfaction for a site owner. I can write a few more sentences on this matter but that in views would not be of any real benefit.
