I really don't think so. I think there are already plenty of them and I for one are not visiting any, though I was an active member on quite a few of them a couple of years ago.
Its an idea that has been copied and tried on over and over again, but only the few pioneer ones are still up.
BUT if you can invest a lot and also have a good team with you, then you can compete and maybe succeed with it.

Not sure yet , but am thinking something new type of promotion ,not existing types. for this project i brought this domain ( promotionchat dot com ) , still thinking what kind of service would be best. you have alot of experience about promotion type forum, would you like to suggest me something new idea?

That's a great domain Sobi, well done on getting that. It's difficult to suggest an original idea for a promotional forum as so many of them have been done already. Plus the idea should be something that is applicable to your own personal, unique skills, interests, knowledge and experiences.

Basically my take would be to find an area that interests you, because if you are not interested in the topic it will be difficult to stick with it and work hard on it in the long run. Then based on that idea try to find a unique strength or angle that your forum can have and then set it up so that your site can be the very best at doing that.

Does that sound like an approach you can work with?

I think nothing die or fades off completely,the best bet is reviving it and adding uniqueness to it,so if you know you can do it in more concrete way to success,then you can take a dive.

I agree with Fergal. In fact, I think that applies to any site these days. There is a ton of competition, so you need to find a way to make yours stand out. How can you compete with authority sites? Doing what they're doing isn't really going to do you much good. What can you do differently that will attract people to your site instead of one of the thousands of other like it?

This is the question I'm asking myself, and that I think everyone needs to ask when starting a new blog/forum/website.

It will definitely makes sense especially if you have good contents and you promote needed products.

It would make lots of sense, but truth is, you would need to be extremely creative to achieve your goal.

In a nutshell, you need to think outside the box. I know it would be hard at first, even most of these forums we now see their success started somewhere. Clearly, it wouldn't be so easy for them, but they worked hard, making sure they have one or two unique features which others weren't offering.
