How many article do you think a person should write every week to his/her blog?

It really depends on the nature of the blog. However, I feel that one post per day would be a better target to aim for. Visitors like to see new content and there isn't much to attract them to your blog on a daily or regular basis, if it only publishes one post per week.

Blog posts don't necessarily need to be long and detailed. Even frequent short posts with industry news or interesting links can be attractive to your blog's readers.

I agree with you Fergal, but actually it depends on your free time. It's nice to create as many articles as you can per day, but you need to pay attention to the quality!

That's very true Mr.Panos, a poor quality post is of no benefit to your readers. In fact, it would probably annoy readers and turn them away from the blog, hence doing more harm than good. It's probably better not to post at all, than to post rubbish. Saying that, bloggers shouldn't become so obsessed with quality that they look for perfection and rarely post at all.

The posts should be useful from readers point of view. Serve what they want, not that what you want.I think 1 article in 2-3 days is fair time given to you as well as visitors..

As many as possible as long as they are good. I typically aim for at least 3 per week, sometimes I get it, sometimes I fail. It just depends on what you can do.

I'd have to agree with Fergal. I feel that a blogger should post at least one article a day.

It depends on your type of blog, if there is many categories in your blog you can find 1 topic for each day. But personally I believe that 3-4 posts per week is very good. Or what else you can do is hire some authors who can post for you or ask your readers to submit articles.

When it comes down to it, quality is much better than quantity. If the blog has at least two decent posts a week rather than having very simple and short posts I feel that readers would stick around to read more even if they have to wait.

That means you priority. If you have time, you may update regularly, else twice or thrice a week..

At the beginning atleast one post a day is required, but after a week or so, 3-4 posts a week should be posted.

A Blog should be updated daily with articles as much as you can. It's very good way to rank higher as well.

Updating increases the page rank as well as increases the readers and authenticity of blog..I think daiy 1-2 articles is sufficient if you have time..

It depends on the person, the amount of visitors, the amount of content, and the blog itself. For a regular gaming blog that I used to run, I wrote about 4 articles a day. So, it should be a decent number to keep visitors coming back.
