Reporting a website to google for selling text links

Postby niche » 09 Nov 2016, 11:39

How does a webmaster know whether anyone has reported their website to google for selling text links and google has deindexed the website only to punish the webmaster for selling text links?

It's easy actually. Some of the website are pure spam with garbage theme and content. So google's manual reviewers can easily read the SEO text based links. And they can pull the trigger on penalty. For example some websites with lack of theme, lack of quality content if had hidden some paid links in the description or the footer, it's not hard to say they sold the links. Only it becomes hard to find if the link is sold or not if the content is of high quality and with theme and presentation it's hard to say if the website is spam like say tech crunch.

The bottom line is you have no recourse. Whatever Google decides, that's the end of the story.

Only wordpress blogs are being reported to google and getting deindexed, all other websites which do not use bidvertiser are being indexed.

That would be no problem for me if Google has irrefutable reason to reach a certain conclusion. Otherwise, it'd be blatant abuse of power for the search engine giant. I'd thus have to swallow the bitter pill calmly.

Abuse of power is exactly what it is in my opinion, enjoy your pill.
