Hmmm.., I find bigrock's services better than that of Godaddy but Hosting services are of less quality than that of Godaddy and one must opt best hosting services like Windows Azure or BlueHost etc. Godaddy is actually Good for Hosting but its domain policies are very restricting and its products terms and conditions are less flexible.

I have yet to use any of the above mentioned domain registrars + domain hosting services but once I finish designing the webpages that I am working on I might try them..

Well, I guess I'll use this topic to talk about a few registrars.

Register.com is decent. It has a cheap domain creation cost, but it's usually more expensive for renewal. It's not easy to transfer to other registrars either.

Name.com I haven't heard much about it. It just doesn't stand out that much.

GoDaddy.com I think Godaddy's pitfall was its support for SOPA. Other than that it's a relatively decent registrar. The renewal costs are usually somewhat high, while first year registration is usually low. Support may or may not be good to you. :P

Namecheap Namecheap wins with its policy to uphold customers' concerns. They have a good support team. Prices may not be the cheapest, but the pricing scheme is definitely consistent and reliable. They have quite a few sales going on every year.

1&1 I used to hear that 1&1 was the worst registrar to ever exist. Users reported all sorts of problems. I don't really know what its standards are these days.

I am a regular customer of Godaddy until now. They gave me what I've paid for. They were also active when I have a question.

I'm using GoDaddy for domains, but for hosting usually Namcheap which is not listed here.

- I must say that 1and1 are scammers, don't use them if you don't want problems ;)

I bought a domain form Raaes, which was sold by BlackRock and I must say I've had NO problem using it.

Actually, I'm pretty sure I'll make business again with Raaes and buy more domains. :D
