hello webmasters.

please how do I go about changing a blogspot blog to a dot com..I need to start monetizing one of my blogs and I need to make it more professional with a dot com domain .

Steps:

1. Create an account on Namecheap.com or Dynadot.com
2. Think of a name that suits you. Something you love, something you can grow with. Check to see if it is available at one of those two sites or both.
3. See whichever site is cheaper and register it there.

Once you register the domain, you have to choose whether or not you want to stay with blogspot as your blog provider (highly NOT recommended) or choose a free hosting website (like mine) or choose a paid hosting website like DreamHost.com or anything that is NOT owned or operated by EIG. EIG is a horrible company that buys websites (like the ones listed on that wikipedia page) and fires everyone there and replaces it with their staff and they are WAY understaffed. It sucks!

After choosing your host and signing up your host can guide you through setting up your website. Should be fairly easy. If not, they can help you set it up.

Many people have asked this question and I do not have the slightest clue. i can tell you that I was approved for Ad Sense a long time ago BEFORE Ad Blockers. It was a Blogspot blog.

Since that time I have continued to use the Blogspot publishing platform. All I know is that I go into the dashboard and click on "Earnings" and click to apply. If I get approved I shout Hallelujah! If I don't get approved, I keep maintaining the blog populating it with content and after several months, I try again. Some blogs did not get approved one the first try. I have one that I am pulling my hair out. I can't figure out how to get it approved. When I look at it, this blog does not seem to be that much different from my other blogs. I don't get it! I have other friends who gave up on Ad Sense completely.

My advice to them and others is to follow @Mika's advice and get approved for InfoLinks.

This is true. I have Blogspot.com URLs and Google approved several of them for Ad Sense. Infolinks also approved them. And it is not against Amazon policy to share your links.

You need tobuy a domain name at godaddy. However you need to pay for the renewal fee yearly which is different from blogspot that is free.

That's another thing. Why have this expense when it's not necessary? If you can monetize a free blog, why create the expense of buying and renewing the domain name. By the way, godaddy is not the only one. But it one of the most reputable domain name sellers.
