Selecting Images

Postby raaman » 19 Aug 2017, 10:33

I generally use pixabay for images to my articles. Why doing so, I check as many pages as possible to get an appropriate image for my article. What about you? Do you use pixabay? Do you check multiple pages or select some image from the first or second page? By the way, I would like to know a site like pixabay for free images. Please share.

You are right, Pixabay has the largest collection of free images for your free commercial use barring the ones that appear on the first and second row on each page (with watermark of Shutterstock).

You can use Wikimedia images too with proper endorsement/credit to owner of the images. (Be careful as some of these images are not for free use.

You can also try https://www.pexels.com/

Thank you @suny. I appreciate your attitude to help people which is what I expect very much from others and I like such people. I will check out the link you provided and if I find any difficulty, I intend to approach you again and I hope you will help me out. God bless you.

Yep, I like Pixabay for many things. It's been a great resource.

I was going to suggest Pexels as well. It's quite good, although maybe not as big. What I really like about it is that you can download a custom size instead of having to size it, crop it etc. If you know what size you want, bam, you're ready to go. On Pixabay, it's just small, medium, or large.

I'm pretty sure there have been a couple other sites listed here over time, but I can't recall which ones. You might want to do a quick search.

Good luck.

May be. But sometimes I find the images for certain categories and items are limited and there is no variety in it.
